According to statistics, one-third of the food produced worldwide is lost or wasted every year. This amount corresponds to 1.3 billion tons of food annually. With every wasted food item, water, soil, labor, time, and other expended resources are also wasted.
As Berberoğlu Dairy Products and Food Industry & Trade Ltd. Co., our company’s FOOD WASTE PREVENTION policy includes:
- Measuring food loss at the purchasing, production, packaging, storage, and distribution stages,
- Setting targets to reduce food loss,
- Monitoring improvement processes to minimize potential waste.
In line with the defined policies and objectives, we are working with all our effort and diligence to:
- Plan necessary awareness campaigns and training for customers and employees,
- Establish a well-informed management team.
